As a matter of principle that flats on the road are he pits, I always spend the few extra bucks for a new tube when I replace the tire, also helps with the problems of pinching. If you do it at night when the shops are closed, then Mr. Murphy says you will pinch the used tube and have to wait until the net day to get an unpatched tube to put in the new tire. However if you have a new tube and the old one there, Mr. Murphy lurks elsewhere waiting to strike. Max
